A New England girl through and through, I grew up on the coast of Maine and now live in the Boston area with my husband and two young children. When not behind my keyboard, I love to spend time with my family, exploring quiet trails in the woods, swimming at the town lake, or checking our nature cam for all of the wildlife that visits our back yard at night. Ever since I was a child I’ve found wonder in nature, and many of my stories feature this in some way. Whether it’s a quiet forest at night, the rustling of leaves on a cool fall day, or the way the air just feels different when you’re close to the ocean, there’s so much to notice in the world around us if we slow down every once in a while.
An author of picture books and middle grade novels, my goal is to make readers feel deeply, whether making them laugh or cry, and to give them stories that stick with them long after the last page has been turned.
