But who do you query? How do you find agents who might like your work?
I can help.
When I first began querying, I spent hours upon hours researching agents and building a list of those who represent the age group of my book, my genre, and those who have actual MSWL “wants” that fit my story.
I heard of the common advice to query at least 100 agents before shelving a book. But did people know the amount of time it takes to research 100 agents, all before you even begin the process of querying?
It takes time. Lots of time.
Time that you could be spending on your next manuscript (or resting your brain, because you just wrote and edited a whole book).
Time that you could spend writing and perfecting your query letter, so when you get your list, you’re ready to go.
Time that you could spend doing anything else—because we all know there aren’t enough hours in the day.
There’s no getting around the fact that querying is a part time job—and once you have your query letter written, much of that time is spent on research. Building a list. Tracking their requirements. Gathering your materials.
So let me take that time for you.

- A one-time personalized list of 100** agents to query based on your manuscript themes, age range, and genre, which will include:

- A numerical ranking for those that might fit your manuscript best
- Information on each agent being open or closed to submissions and on which dates
Add Ons:
Deal Tracker: $25
- A list of recent (within the past three years) of deals for up to 3 agents of your choosing. Please note that these will be based on deals reported in Publishers Marketplace and may not account for all current deals for each agent (not all agents report all deals to PM).
Query List Pulse Check: $25/month after initial list purchase
- A monthly update of your spreadsheet based on agents opening/closing to queries, agency moves, etc.
Query Critique: $30
- Line notes and overall thoughts*** on your query, including plot paragraph(s), hook, comps and author bio. See my critique services page if you are looking for a critique of your opening pages or full manuscript.
Query Strategy Zoom: $50
- A 30 minute zoom call to talk about your manuscript and strategize about agents to query and your timeline
